Posture Correction

We all know and many times discussed, criticised about posture in our family, offices or in public areas also. Now what is posture? Posture is body hold in particular positions for some activities like sitting, standing, in some holding games and various daily activities. Posture correction is the corrective method for:

  • Wrong postures

  • Inability of certain activities

  • In some post activity injuries

  • Particular joint issues in the body

  • Body imbalances

  • Body mobility problems

  • Body appearance issues

  • Possibility of life time damage of the joint or the bone

How to develop the posture?

Postures mainly develop with our daily activities, our regular movements, our patterns of holding the body with the certain activities. These activities are responsible for the development of postures. Weather it is good or bad; as we know the history how we developed from our ancestors and the changes happened in their body holds, changes in the activities, changes in the postures. The changes as apart of postures in our ancestors journey (Austra-lopithecus to Homo-Habilis to Homo-Erectus to Homo-Neanderthelansis to Homo-Sapiens-Sapiens) expressed here the idea how the postural changes happened generation to generations. 'Life style' has the biggest impact on postures deviations. Uncontrolled obesity, diabetes, heart problems, wrong food habits, heavy intake of alcohol and smoke, inactivity, long term sitting position, irregular sleeping patterns, over exertions, various physiological as well as psychological stress, dehydration are all responsible for  development of various diseases and wrong postures. Wrong postures can be develop in certain types as sway back, lumber lordosis, thoracic kyphosis, forward head, flat back and scoliosis. For example, if we have  fat on the stomach or in the lower limbs, we cannot control and hold our upper limbs during the activities and naturally negative pressure is developed on the spine and back muscles. The anterior and posterior resistance will continue unconditionally. Exercise and life style changes are the only key to posture correction; though right posture needs o be developed since  childhood.

As per the practice of GB Fitness, there is a specific posture analysis that helps determine exercise patterns, impact of exercises on muscular system as well as skeletal structures and to understand the possibility of corrections in postures. Postures will be set appropriately after all the evaluations, postural analysis and exercise practice.

GB Fitness always advises regular exercise, hydration, controlling obesity, maintaining appropriate life style and be sporty.

'Prevention is always better then Cure (Corrections)'
